When it comes to workplace wear my rule of thumb is ‘dress for the role you want, not the role you have’. As shallow as it may seem presentation goes a very long way. That being said there is still room for creativity when power dressing, and today I decided to incorporate mixed prints into the fun.

I have quite a neutral colour palette and tend to stick to black, navy and white. But inspired from a recent post by blogger Zanita I decided to give print mixing a go. Being quite the beginner I started small, teaming a stripped knit with the gorgeous ‘Rosette’ silk chiffon scarf by label Get Me To New York (gm2ny).
Keeping power dressing for the office in mind, I stuck to my other fashion rule: Keep it classy. And what (elegantly) screams class? A structured blazer and patent handbag, that’s what.
Happy mixing!

So stylish but at the same time, classy and work appropriate. It's had to make corporate dresscode look fun but you've done that with this outfit.
