My Week in Workwear

This week, we’re recapping my week in workwear. Can you believe we’re already in the middle of February?! The summer holiday feeling has unfortunately worn off and the work year is in full swing.

I get quite a few messages on the daily asking for cute workwear options, and I love that you treasure hunters are seeking to elevate your office looks! So settle in, and get ready to take some notes!

Coming to a screen near you

I’ve been lucky enough to film a few segments on the Today Show on Channel 9, so I always get excited when they invite me back for more style segments!

I filmed an affordable activewear segment this week, so keep an eye out on my Instagram to know when the segment will air. I’ll try my best to pop a link of the segment after it airs too!

If you want a sneak peek of what was featured in the segment, I hunted these in-store – can you tell there’s a colour scheme I’m gravitating to at the moment?!

Although it was an activewear segment, these options would also be great, comfy work from home options!

The Kmart white sneakers have been tried and tested over the past couple of weeks, so of course I had to include them! For only $20, the elastic laces make them easy to pull on. The best feature however, is the memory foam insole. It feels like you’re walking on a cloud! These shoes come in 8 different colours, but I find the white looks that little bit more luxe.

But what do I wear?!

Here’s what I decided to wear for the silver screen! The blazer I decided to wear is an older style from Decjuba. Unfortunately it’s not in stock online but you may find it instore! Ask for the ‘Chelsea Gingham Blazer’. it does come back in stock, or if I find any similar options, you’ll be the first to know.

I love this blazer, as the check pattern adds some interest. The beige colour is subtle enough for everyday wear so you’re not giving tablecloth or picnic blanket energy!

These jeans you might recognise from a previous blog post (here)! I decided this was the perfect occasion to give them a test run. They were a bit tight to start out with, but as I moved throughout the day, they stretched to my body and became more comfortable! I love the length, and the wash. For $34.99, they’re definitely worth the investment! Here’s a picture of the tag so you know what to hunt for if you’re in-store! You can also search the name if shopping online.

Lastly, to top off the outfit, I also test run a new pair of heels I picked up from Covet Shoes. These are the Mia Pumps in Tan – they also come in black and nude. If you wear pumps to work, these were such a comfy option. The segment I filmed, we were outside on grass and I didn’t sink once! The great thing about these heels is that they look more like a stiletto, but they have the stability of a block heel, making it perfect for all day wear. The colour is the perfect mid brown which will match just about anything in your wardrobe.

My Week in Workwear: Working from Home

You know those white Kmart sneakers I showed – here’s a shot of the Kmart sneakers in action! With a lot of meetings, comfort was key this week.

Another pair of black pants, I know. A pair has been featured in every Weekly Wrap so far, but I’ve fallen in love with this particular pair from Uniqlo! These are the Ultra Stretch Active Jogger Pants. You can pop them on, no iron necessary, and old mate’s fur didn’t get stuck on them either. So for all you pet parents, if you’ve got your furry friend jumping on your lap during Zoom meetings, try these pants out!

Tina styles Marks and Spencer dress

It’s not a complete workwear week, without a TOAG! This beauty is from Marks and Spencer. This piece is a perfect transitional piece, as the darker colour and silhouette leans more towards cooler weather, but it also feels light and airy on the body to wear during the day.

A few other TOAGs I spotted on my travels this week:

Store to Styled

The last workwear look I have to share is a cute little store to styled situation! Whilst hunting for my TV segment, I found this dress from Kmart, and had to take it home to style.

This is the Short Sleeve Drop Shoulder Dress in the Black Abstract pattern. On the website, and in-store it might look a little bit daunting.

On the hanger, and even on the body it doesn’t give much shape. It was looking too much like a night shirt, so to elevate this for an office worthy look, I paired this piece with a trusty black blazer, and black mules.

To really change the look of the dress, I added a black belt to cinch in my waist. This gives more definition, and is also a way to alter the length of the dress if you’re petite.

To see the before and after, you can watch the full video on Instagram.

And that is my week in workwear! As another wrap-up comes to an end, I hope this blog post was helpful in reimagining your work style.

Til next time, happy hunting!

T, xoxo
