KATIES x T2T: spring.

In terms of all things fashion and affordability I love this time of year. EOFYs sales have got us stocked up to last the rest of winter and spring offerings for the year start hitting stores. Cue: fashion inspo and daydreaming of the warmer days ahead!

It’s a pleasure to collaborate with Katies again, this time in celebration of their Spring 2016 range which launched instore and online this week. The focus of the range is bold accents and my picks include this button detail denim skirt ($49.95) and longline sleeveless vest ($69.95). These pieces are perfect candidates for layering, which means perfect for transitioning into the warmer months.

I sized down with the skirt so it can be worn high-waisted and tucked in the shirt to show off the nautical button detail- note: all things nautical will be everywhere this spring. I can also see the skirt paired with a simple white tee and sneakers or a silky v-neck blouse and heels for a smart casual night time. Versatility in spades!

My love for blazers and coats is no secret, and picking up a sleeveless version for spring was a no brainer. Vests can add a pop of colour to pull a look together, while the long line cut never fails to elongate and skim over those bits that are not quite ‘summer body ready’ yet! This piece can also add a bit of length to those shorter hemlines if needed- another great additional to the wardrobe arsenal!
